NCircle provides grocers with car ride DVD display

Kid-friendly titles priced at $6.99 each

By Cindy Spielvogel -- Video Business, 6/30/2008

The “Perfect for the Car” promotion will run to the end of August.

JUNE 30 | NCircle Entertainment is offering supermarkets a display of low-priced DVDs aimed at families looking for something for kids to watch on their in-car or portable DVD players while traveling to vacation destinations this summer.

The “Perfect for the Car” floor and counter corrugated displays consist of titles priced at $6.99 each. The promotion will be available through the end of August and will be supported by a national print campaign.

Titles include Heathcliff, Hermie & Friends, Horseland, Mighty Machines, Sabrina the Animated Series, Sonic Underground, Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, The Littles and Trollz.

Acknowledging the price of gas is causing some families to cut down on their summer trips, a spokeswoman for NCircle noted driving is still more cost-effective than putting a family on a plane.
